Using Afrocurve

Your account

You create an Afrocurve account with your phone number, verify it with a one-time code, and set a PIN. You are responsible for keeping your PIN private and for activity on your account.

Saving in Curves

Afrocurve places you in savings circles (Curves) based on the rhythm you choose. Contributions are taken from your wallet on schedule. Payouts follow your Curve’s turn order. Only fund amounts you can afford, and keep your wallet funded so contributions succeed.

Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Afrocurve account yourself. Before deletion can complete, you must:

• Finish or leave any open Curves
• Withdraw any remaining wallet balance (including holds)
• Wait for any pending deposits or payouts to finish

On the web

1. Open web.afrocurve.com and log in
2. Go to Account settings
3. Choose Delete account
4. Enter your PIN and type DELETE to confirm

In the mobile app

1. Open the Afrocurve app and log in
2. Open Account
3. Choose Delete account
4. Enter your PIN and type DELETE to confirm

After deletion, your profile and sign-in details are removed and your phone number can be used to register again. We keep anonymized financial records needed to run Curves and meet legal obligations. If you need help, contact us through the Help Centre.

Data deletion requests

Deleting your account is the primary way to remove your personal data from Afrocurve. When your account is deleted, we remove or anonymize identifying information such as your phone number, name, email, profile photo, PIN, KYC documents, and payout destinations linked to your profile.

We may retain limited anonymized or aggregated records where required to:

• Complete or audit Curves you participated in
• Reconcile wallet, contribution, and payout history
• Meet legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or regulatory obligations

If you cannot delete your account in the app or on the web (for example, because of an open Curve or remaining balance), or if you want help with a data deletion request:

1. Visit the Help Centre or open in-app support after you log in
2. Request data deletion and include the phone number on your Afrocurve account
3. We will confirm what can be deleted immediately and what must be retained, then process the request

We aim to respond to data deletion requests within 30 days. Requests that require you to finish a Curve or withdraw funds first will be completed after those conditions are met.
